The West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company (WBSETCL) has floated a tender for a major grid expansion project to evacuate power from the upcoming JSW generation station at Salboni.
The contract encompasses the construction of an approximately 69.8 km (68 km primary + 1.8 km associated scope) 400 kV double-circuit overhead transmission line. Outfitted with high-capacity Twin High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors, the infrastructure will execute a Line-In Line-Out (LILO) connection into one circuit of the Arambag–New PPSP 400 kV link.
Interested bidders have until 24 August 2026 to submit their technical and financial proposals. The selected contractor will have 24 months from award issuance to complete engineering and construction.
